Protecting minors is a core duty for Halo. Scheibling Speranza runs layered safeguards — automated detection, trained moderators, user reporting, and cooperation with authorities — to prevent harm to children on the Platform.
Age Requirements & Verification
Eligibility
- Minimum registration age: 13 years
- Mature and paid features: 18+
- Parental consent may be required under local law for users under 18
Verification measures
- Date of birth collected at signup
- Additional checks before restricted features
- ID verification for monetization or creator tools
- Periodic review of accounts with inconsistent age signals
CSAM Prohibition
CSAM is illegal worldwide. Halo uses hash-matching, AI classifiers, and human review to detect and remove CSAM. Confirmed material is preserved only as required for legal reporting, then removed from user-facing systems.
CSAE Zero-Tolerance Policy
Any attempt to create, share, request, or facilitate CSAE on Halo results in immediate account termination and mandatory reporting to relevant authorities. We do not allow exceptions or warnings for confirmed CSAE.

Violating Account Handling

Halo cooperates fully with law enforcement and recognized hotlines on illegal activity involving minors. We comply with mandatory reporting obligations and legal process worldwide.
